Love was like a pleasant dream I never needed nothing to believe in But you look so easy now If you ever needed me I guess that I’d find something in a feeling But love is deceiving So I’ll come out screaming, now I keep feeling lo-loneliness I keep feeling low I keep feeling lo-loneliness Never needed nothing to believe in Oh no Lay beside me while I sleep I need someone to hold me when I’m dreaming Cos I can’t un-see things, now I keep feeling lo-loneliness I keep feeling low I keep feeling lo-loneliness Never needed nothing to believe in Oh no I never needed nothing to believe Chorus What is the world coming to It’s coming for ya It’s coming for ya What is the world coming to It’s coming for ya It’s coming for you Looks so easy now Ooh, but it’s hard You’ll come out screaming now Could I give up being free When freedom is the only thing I’m missing Deny who I’m kissing, now I keep feeling lo-loneliness I keep feeling low I keep feeling low, I’m depressed Never needed nothing to believe in Oh no, I I never needed nothing to believe Chorus Keep feeling loneliness, eh Keep feeling low-la-low-la-low, ooh Keep feeling lo-loneliness I never needed nothing to believe in But I guess that I’ll find something in a feeling Cos a life can’t carry on without a meaning Oh, I never needed nothing to believe Until my eyes were opened to the danger Until the war that broke my heart forever Burned my home Numbed my mind Before I take a chance and trust a stranger Prepare me for a score of stormy weather Drowning here In all my fear You look so easy now Ooh, but it’s hard You’ll come out screaming, now What is the world coming to It’s coming for ya It’s coming for ya What is the world coming to It’s coming for ya It’s coming for you

Music, music for a while Shall all your cares beguile. Shall all, all, all Shall all, all, all Shall all your cares beguile Wond'ring, wond'ring how your pains were eased, eased, eased And disdaining to be pleased 'Til Alecto free the dead 'Til Alecto free the dead From their eternal, eternal bands 'Til the snakes drop, drop, drop Drop, drop, drop, drop, drop from her head And the whip, And the whip from out her hand Music, music for a while Shall all your cares beguile. Shall all, all, all Shall all, all, all Shall all your cares beguile Shall all your cares beguile

about

An EP, featuring the second solo single from That Joe Payne.

'What is the World Coming To' is one of many compositions to feature on a forthcoming album, influenced entirely by the artist’s journey through depression and anxiety following a mental breakdown in 2016.

This record was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Max Read at The Lodge Recording Studios, Northampton. Some vocals were recorded at Joe’s home studio, also in Northampton.
